Sterling Studio was founded in Žilina in 2014 with a single focus — helping clients keep what they have built, for as long as possible.
What we do and who we do it for
Sterling Studio is a fee-only capital protection advisory headquartered in Žilina, Slovakia. We help individuals, families, and business owners who have accumulated wealth — typically through a business exit, inheritance, or long professional career — to structure and protect that wealth for the long term. Our clients range from entrepreneurs in the Žilina and Bratislava regions to Slovak professionals with assets spread across multiple EU jurisdictions. We do not sell financial products and we do not manage money. What we do is design the legal and financial architecture that makes capital resilient: holding structures, insurance wrappers, risk registers, and independent advisory retainers. We work in both English and Slovak, which means we can serve internationally mobile clients as well as those based entirely within Slovakia. A typical engagement lasts three to six months for the structuring phase, followed by an optional annual review retainer for ongoing oversight.
How we work — and what we won't promise
Since 2014 we have completed over 120 structuring engagements across Slovakia and the broader EU. Every engagement begins with a written diagnostic — a document that maps your assets, identifies vulnerabilities, and sets out the structuring options with their costs and trade-offs. This document is yours to keep even if you decide not to proceed further. We value the slate-professional discipline of committing recommendations to paper before action, because it forces precision and gives you something to interrogate rather than just accept. What we will not promise is immunity from all risk. Markets move, tax laws change, and no structure is permanently optimal. What we do promise is that the architecture we design will be as robust as current knowledge and law allow, and that we will tell you plainly when something we built together needs revisiting. We are not the right firm if you want a passive custodian who sends quarterly statements — we are the right firm if you want an active, independent voice on how your capital is structured and protected across a long time horizon.
